Meet Lara
I came to fitness after years of battling poor eating habits and low self-esteem. Over a decade ago, I started putting in the time, effort, and consistency to make my fitness goals a reality, losing over 35lbs in a year, and gaining confidence for the first time in my life. Not only did I get lean and strong, but I became less shy and more outgoing. After leaving my job in childcare, I got certified as a personal trainer to guide people on their own fitness journeys.
My career as a personal trainer kicked off in December 2011 at a national gym chain, where I rose through the ranks to become a Master Trainer and Assistant Fitness Manager. I learned so much about fitness during that time and had great mentors to guide me to success.
I started 1UP Personal Training to serve people locally and across the world. As a credentialed personal trainer with many specializations, I combine a decade of know-how with a strong, encouraging approach to coaching. Personal training is not only about weight loss or muscle gain; it’s about gaining confidence, reducing pain, and realizing your massive inner potential.
